Alecia attended the Oregon State University branch in LaGrande, OR and received an Agricultural Business Degree in 2002. Upon graduation she went to work for Northwest Farm Credit Services, an agricultural lender. She spent 1 year in Pasco, WA training to be a Loan Officer. When that training was completed, she moved to Pendleton, OR where she worked as a Loan Officer for the next 8 years.

 

Alecia desired to work closer to home, so in 2011 she switched gears and moved to the insurance industry, taking a job with Wheatland Insurance in Hermiston, OR. As an Account Manager she worked with multiple producers, with her focus on Commercial & Farm Accounts. She then worked to obtain her CIC and AFIS designations. In 2019 she joined The Swanson Insurance Group as a Senior Account Manager.

 

Alecia is actively involved in the Livestock Sale Committee for the Umatilla County Fair and recently completed the Hermiston Leadership Program. She spends her free time with husband, Matt and their children, Reagan & Taylor. She’s involved with coaching her son’s sports and enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
